I was only three years old. My parents had just bought me my first ever PW50, and as soon as I was four years old I would be old enough to race it. To race I had to choose a number for my bike. Mum and Dad had written down every number from 1-100 for me to choose which one I liked best. I would sit down at the dinner table each night and choose a number, only to change my mind ten minutes later. This went on for a few days with me being extremely indecisive, and my parent’s patience starting to wear thin. When I picked up the number 51 for the third time, my parents said “that’s it that’s your new number”. From that day to this – I have always raced under number 51, and it is now a part of who I am.
